Wheelbase
The distance from the inside screw holes. A true wheelbase by definition would be from axle to axle, but since board manufactures don't know what trucks you plan on installing on your board they had to come up with another dimension. Most use the distance from the inside screw holes on the left, to the inside screw holes on the right.

Epoxy
A very strong adhesive resin. Great compressive and tensile strength. It is quite a bit more expensive that wood adhesives though. We use epoxy throughout the whole board.

Traxial Fiberglass Weave
Fiberglass woven in three directions; 0, +45, and -45 dregrees. This is common in snowboarding and anything that needs solid strength an all directions.

Quadaxial Carbon Fiber
This is carbon woven in four directions. 0, +45, -45 and 90 degrees. One tow (group of fibers about the size of a mouse cable) could lift a person, and this is like a doormat. Incredibly heavy duty stuff.

Unidirectional Strands or Tows
This is non-woven fibers on a roll. We like these because we can lay them in whatever direction we want and increase strength in that area.

Dye Sublimation Printing
A dye-sublimation printer (or dye-sub printer) is a computer printer which employs a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye onto materials such as a plastic, card, paper, or fabric. This is embedded into the plastic and is very durable.

How it Works

Gas Pedals
Cut away sections on a longboard for better grip. Usually for slides.

* BTW, we don't feel this has to be restricted to just the back foot. We often add these cutaways to the front sides of our PinMod decks. We'll cut 'em in wherever you want 'em.

IsoSport
Isosport is a plastics company out of Australia that has been in the sporting industry for decades. They make the topsheet materials on your snowboard, the UHMW base material, tipfill and sidewalls. Since we make snowboards it seemed like a cool thing to use the topsheet material to print graphics for the bases of our longboards as well.
